The Classic Camel Coat

Hi Prepsters;

If you're following me on instagram (and I hope that you are), you'll know that I have a deep and real love for camel coats. They are one of those items in your closet that will transform whatever you're wearing into something more elevated, and creates an overall more complete look.

One of the things I love specifically about this GAP coat (Size XXL), is the option to either tie it, or button it up. The tie up creates a nice hourglass shape on most body types, while the button up is more of a classic look. I wore it with a woollen turtle-neck sweater from Joe Fresh's plus size collection.

I paired the coat with my soft skinny jeggings from Addition Elle (size 14). The dark denim colour is perfect for the fall, and its a tad bit more interesting than wearing all black under a coat. Just be mindful, these jeans to bleed colour in the wash (a lesson I learned the hard way), but they are ridiculously comfortable on.

The accessories that I paired with this look were a little bit different from what you usual see me in. I had purchased this fang-pack from Addition Elle when they collaborated with the amazing blogger, Nadia Aboulholsn. Her style is edgy, and provocative, and thats one of the reasons I adore her. I also found this pearl ring in my mom's jewellery collection, and thought it added a little bit of sophistication to my outfit.

For the shoes, i bought these vegan leather chelsea boots from Amazon. They were easy to wear, and I found them to be pretty stylish. They have an zipper on the back to make it easy to wear the boots.

The pom-pom fur hat was one I had purchased a year ago from Addition Elle in both white and black. The black originally came with the grey fur, but the pom-poms are interchangeable between the hats, so I opted for the brown fur to compliment my jacket.  If you are looking for a cute toque with fur, I would highly recommend checking out a store called Woolrich (they have a location at Yorkdale).
