Millennial Pink
Hi Prepster,
One of the biggest trends this year is the colour pink. You may have noticed it on every blogger and Instagrammer over the past few months. I created a monochromatic pink look, that is fun and extremely wearable
When I saw this top at Joe Fresh, I really wanted it because the colour was so beautiful. The only deterrent was this colour only came in the straight size run, but luckily, because the sweater it is a stretchy knit, it fit and was comfortable on (Size XL). The cuff-ties with a slight bell-sleeve are beautiful on, and dress up the sweater. The khaki pants are from Reitmans (size 16), and I loved these because they had the tiniest amount of stretch to them, which means that the likelihood of me splitting my pants decreases.
All of the jewellery is also from Joe Fresh. My brother (aka The Prep Guy) actually helped pick these pieces out, and wanted to keep all of the jewellery rose-gold toned. The earrings have these light pink flowers that match the sweater,, they also have these little gems and jewels that are reminiscent of a charm bracelet. My brother also picked out this really cute bracelet-pendant set.
These suede-slip-on sneakers (size 10) are extremely comfortable on, and add a pop of colour to any outfit. I normally wear them with light coloured denim and cotton shirts, but the slides would be adorable with a sundress too. The pink colour is almost sold out, so if you do want these, I recommend getting them right away.
The easiest way to pull off monochromatic outfits,is by breaking up the tones, and that what I did with this pink-beige coloured bag, which was gifted by Call it Spring.
