Review: Shu Uemura Hair Products

Hi Prepsters!

As you may know, I dye my hair. I have been doing it since I was seventeen, and have experimented with many different hairstyles and products, leaving it a little lack luster and damaged. Recently, I have also noticed that even though my hair is dry, my scalp has started getting oily very quickly, and because of that, I shampoo my hair almost everyday. Here's what my natural, unwashed hair looks like, as you can see its kinky and wavy.

The first product I tried out was the Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil Shampoo ($56 CAD). My impression of the cleansing oil was really great, the shampoo was true to its name in terms, but gentle in the sense that it didn't strip my hair. The best part about this was that my hair remained oil free, even on day two....seriously I was shook!

I tend to be sceptical when I hear about "Miracle Products", but let me tell you the cleansing oil shampoo was nothing short of just that. The formulation is fabulous, and another bonus is that it is Paraben, and Silicone Free.

After hopping out of the shower, I put a pump of the Satin Design Polishing Milk ($42 CAD) into my hair using my hands to lather the product into my strands, specifically the ends. To dry my hair I sprayed the Straightforward Time Saving Blow Dry Oil ($42 CAD) all over, which by the way is perfect for getting sleek blowouts.

It took me less than half the usual time to get my hair nice and dry, and it looked healthier, less kinky, and more voluminous. My hair was completely frizz free and lasted that way even up to a very rainy forty-eight hours later.

I am completely blown away by the Shu Uemura products I have used so far, and am excited to try out some more in the future for you guys.
